Mt. Hekai

$27.00

This tea is sourced by Liyuan of Miss Orange from Hekai Mountain in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province, China, this raw Pu-erh has been aging since 2006. Raw Pu-erh, also known as sheng, is traditionally made by withering, pan-firing, rolling, and sun-drying the leaves before being pressed or stored loose. Unlike ripe Pu-erh, which undergoes accelerated fermentation, raw Pu-erh transforms gradually through natural aging. Over nearly two decades, slow oxidation and microbial activity have continued to shape this tea. Carefully selected by Liyuan, whose teahouse specializes in pairing traditional Pu-erh with low-sugar pastries, Mt. Hekai offers an opportunity to explore the influence of time, origin, and traditional processing.
